How it works
Our approach has four ingredients:
Preparation
We speak with each participant 1-on-1 beforehand. This way, everyone arrives at the table prepared and already feels seen before the conversation begins. We also discuss any dietary needs or preferences, ensuring everyone can fully participate in the shared meal.
Facilitation
We create a safe and inviting atmosphere where every voice is heard. Professional yet relaxed, with attention to both process and people. What’s discussed at the table stays at the table, so conversations can be open and honest.
Dining together
A shared meal does something no boardroom can: it breaks down barriers and shifts the dynamic from formal to human. Breaking bread together slows the pace, creates natural pauses for reflection, and opens space for the kind of dialogue that rarely happens in meetings.
We design each dinner thoughtfully, considering the focus of your conversation, the cultural backgrounds of participants and dietary requirements. The setting, the food, the timing: everything is arranged to support genuine connection and clear thinking.
The mix of calm, focus, and good food often leads to insights that surprise, choices that feel right, and shared ownership of next steps.
Follow-up
Afterwards, you receive a short summary capturing the main insights, agreements, and action points. This way you hold on to what was said and have a clear guide for the next step.
Sometimes one table conversation is enough to spark new insights and movement. Other times, a follow-up makes sense: an extra session, additional guidance, or help translating insights into strategy. We always tailor this to your situation.
Who is it for?
Tafelzaken is for organizations and teams that recognize a good conversation is needed to move forward. For example:
Organizations reflecting on strategy, collaboration, or results
Executive boards or supervisory boards facing key decisions
Teams where tensions hinder collaboration
Partnerships dealing with different interests or complex challenges
Project groups or departments taking time to reflect or look ahead strategically
We work with groups of 4 to 20 people, depending on the question and the purpose of the conversation.
You don’t need to be “stuck.” Sometimes slowing down is all it takes to move forward again.
